# What is NFT?

NFT are non fungible tokens. These tokens are unique digital assets that can be verified as authentic. The certificate of authenticity is a process known as "minting." Tokens can then be purchased and sold with cryptocurrency via a digital wallet like Metamask. 

Cryptocurrency is currency on the blockchain that has been converted from your money. Much like physical collectibles, NFT can increase in their worth over time and be traded for a profit.
